PATH TO THE PITCH PROGRAM
Decatur FC is proud to launch the “Path to the Pitch” Program, a groundbreaking initiative designed to grow the future of women’s soccer by making the sport more accessible to young fans and aspiring players. Thanks to the support of community-driven sponsors, this program works with non-profits to help provide tickets to those who may otherwise not have been able to attend Decatur FC home games, ensuring that more young supporters can experience the excitement of live soccer.
Beyond just building the fanbase, Path to the Pitch will also invest in player development, supporting youth clinics and programming with our city and club partners, mentorship opportunities with Decatur FC players, and outreach programs that encourage young girls to step onto the field and dream big. By breaking down financial and participation barriers, Decatur FC and its partners are committed to inspiring the next generation of women’s soccer stars—both in the stands and on the pitch.
THE SPORTS BRA PROJECT
We are proud participants in The Sports Bra Project, an initiative dedicated to increasing access to sports for women and girls by providing sports bras to those in need. To help support local clubs and City Rec programs, we will have bins at all home games for fans to drop off new sports bras. By breaking down financial barriers to participation, we strive to make soccer more accessible. Sports bras must be new and not used.
ZERO WASTE & SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES
We are committed to environmental stewardship. Our zero waste and sustainability initiatives aim to minimize our ecological footprint through responsible practices, including recycling programs, sustainable merchandise, and eco-friendly operations.
In our 2024 season, we saved over 500 LBs of waste from going into landfills. Our Goal for 2025 is 1,000 LBs.
