CAMPBELL CHAPMAN
Campbell’s progression into coaching followed, and after working with youth and semi-professional players in England, Campbell moved to the United States in 1993 and joined the coaching ranks in Georgia. He joined the Gwinnett Soccer Association (GSA) and at that time became the third full time Director of Coaching in Georgia. Campbell’s philosophy is simple: player development. He believes that young players must be taught the correct techniques and encouraged to use them in both practices and games. He also believes that players develop as they learn from their experiences and that the game itself is the best teacher.
In January of 2007, when Campbell took the position as Girls’ Director at GSA, he also became the head coach of the GSA Phoenix 92 Red, 93 Red and 95 Red team. The 92s were State Cup winners in 2007 and 2009, were 2009 Regional Champions and finished 4th in the US Youth Soccer National Championships that same year. The 93s are five-time State Cup winners and were crowned R3PL Champions in both 2007 and 2009. In 2009 the 93s were Regional Finalists (losing 0-2 in the final match). The 95s were 2008 State Cup winners and 2009 R3PL finalists. In the summer of 2008 Campbell was invited to be a Region Staff coach and in 2009 was named the assistant coach of the U-19 Region team. The team beat the Mexican U-20 National team 2-0 in a exhibition game. Later in the year he was the head coach of the U-19 Region team that attended the Inter-Regional National Camp where the girls finished 2-0-1. Campbell has served as the the Assistant Coach to the Women’s W-League Atlanta Silverbacks for the past 2 years. Each year, this team has been Conference Champions advancing to the playoffs.

Campbell has coached State ODP teams which have included players such as Ricardo Clarke (MLS Houston Dynamo), Justin Moore (MLS FC Dallas) and Lawson Vaughn (MLS LA Chivas) and in 2005 coached the Georgia 89 ODP team to the National Championships Final Four. Lastly, Campbell coached the GSA Phoenix 89 Girls, State Champions 2005, 2006, Regional Semi-finalist 2005,2006 and R3PL champions in 2005.
Campbell holds a English FA Prelim Certificate and the USSF “A” License.
PLAYING CAREER
Before taking up his current appointment with Gol Soccer Academy, Campbell Chapman enjoyed a professional soccer playing career spanning over ten years during which Campbell played in England, Sweden, Finland, Malta, and Qatar. During this time, the clubs he played for included Wolverhampton Wanderers (England), West Bromich Albion (England), IFK Ostersund (Sweden), Kaskinen IK (Finland), Birkakara FC (Malta) and Al Ahli Sports Club (Qatar). In 1986, Campbell was invited to participate with the Northern Ireland U-23 national team.During his playing career he played with some of the top players of their time including David Platt (England National Team Captain), David Seaman (England and Arsenal goalkeeper), Jari Litmannen (Finland and Ajax) and Colin Clarke (Northern Ireland, Portsmouth and MLS FC Dallas Head Coach).
JACK MARCHANT

Georgia College Director of Athletics Wendell Staton announced the appointment of Jack Marchant as the new head coach of Bobcat Soccer in July 2022.
Marchant is the fifth coach in GC Soccer history and joins Bobcat Nation after three seasons as assistant coach at Division I Georgia State University.
“I am extremely excited and beyond grateful for the opportunity to lead this program for Georgia College,” said Marchant. “I can’t thank Wendell, University President Cathy Cox and the entire Athletic Department enough for this opportunity. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”
Over his three seasons in Atlanta, the Panthers enjoyed a successful turnaround, compiling 28 victories, including berths in the Sun Belt Conference Semifinals all three seasons. He helped guide Panther players to 10 All-Sun Belt honors in those three seasons.
“We are thrilled that Jack Marchant will be leading our Soccer program,” said Staton. “Jack aligns perfectly with Georgia College and will provide an outstanding student-athlete experience centered around academic, community, and athletic excellence. He is personable, exudes positive energy, and has a relentless work ethic. Throughout the process it was consistently clear that he is of the highest ethical fiber, is a team player, and cares deeply about student-athletes. Jack is a perfect fit for Georgia College, and it feels like he has been here for many years.”
Marchant is also the current head coach for the Georgia Revolution in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL).

Prior to his work on the Panthers’ coaching staff, he spent two seasons as an assistant at another Division I program in The Citadel. Marchant also spent one season at Division II Anderson University and was also involved in the Clemson Anderson Soccer Alliance, overseeing the development of the club’s goalkeepers.
His first coaching opportunity came at his alma mater, the University of Rio Grande. Working as goalkeepers coach for the men’s team, he helped lead the Red Storm to the second round of the NAIA National Tournament, coached eight players that took Mid-South All-Conference honors, and coached his goalkeeper to two NAIA All-American awards.
During his playing days, Marchant and the Red Storm made five appearances in the NAIA National Tournament, reaching the semifinals twice and the finals once. A 2012 All-American, he also earned a pair of all-conference honors.
Marchant earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 2012 and added master’s degrees in both Business Administration and Education from Rio Grande as well.
The Leeds, England, native played three seasons for Hull City A.F.C as a youth and competed in the FA Youth Cup before moving to the United States in 2008.
ISA MASSA
ASSISTANT COACH
Massa has played for the Venezuelan U-17 National Team and Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia. As a student-athlete at Clayton State, she served as team captain for two years. Massa has been the assistant coach for the Clayton State women’s soccer team for three seasons.
Returning Head Coach Campbell Chapman is excited to add to the coaching staff.
“What struck me about Isabel is how thoughtful and intentional she is with her coaching,” Chapman said in a press release. “She sees the game in a way that encourages growth, confidence, and creative play. She’ll be a massive asset to our staff.”
Joining Decatur FC is a natural step forward in Massa’s career, which is rooted in leadership and a love for the game.
